1. Introduction

KumawatPulse Technologies Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the ShaadiShots website at shaadishots.kumawat.co.in and publishes the ShaadiShots desktop application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you visit our website, download our software, or use our services.

2. Data We Collect

When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

  • IP address (collected by Google Analytics)
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Referring URL
  • Device information (desktop/mobile, operating system)

When you contact us via the contact form, we collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Event type
  • Message content

When you use the WhatsApp chat button, your conversation occurs directly between you and WhatsApp (Meta). We do not access or store WhatsApp messages.

When you activate ShaadiShots, the app contacts our license validation server to verify your license key or free trial. We collect and store in our database:

  • Your license key (stored encrypted) or trial identifier
  • A hashed device identifier and installation identifier (never your name or email unless you provide it)
  • The ShaadiShots application version
  • The date and time of validation
  • A hashed version of your IP address (raw IP addresses are never stored)

When you purchase a license on our checkout page, we store the following in our database to process your order and deliver your license:

  • A customer identifier and, if you provide it, your email address
  • Your billing country and currency
  • Payment order details — order reference, amount, currency, payment status, and timestamps
  • A hashed version of your IP address for security and rate limiting

We never store your full card number or other payment instrument details. Card payments are processed directly by our payment providers (Razorpay and PayPal), who maintain their own records under their privacy policies.

When you download the installer from Google Drive, Google (which hosts the file) may collect technical information such as your IP address, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Contact form data: To respond to your inquiry about ShaadiShots
  • Analytics data: To understand how visitors use our website and improve it
  • Session recordings: To identify usability issues and improve user experience
  • License validation data: To validate your license or trial, enforce license terms, and prevent unauthorized use. This data is required for the licensing service to function.
  • Payment and order data: To process your payment, deliver your license key, maintain order history, and prevent fraud and abuse

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data:

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website analytics. Google Privacy Policy

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to our email

5. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • cookieConsent (localStorage) — stores your cookie consent preference (accept/decline). Duration: until cleared.
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) — to distinguish users and track sessions. Duration: up to 2 years.
  • Microsoft Clarity cookies — to identify unique visitors and track sessions.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Declining cookies may limit some website functionality.

6. The ShaadiShots Desktop Application

ShaadiShots is a desktop application that you install on your own computer. When you use it:

  • Photos are processed locally. AI face recognition runs on your own machine. Your photos and the face-recognition data derived from them are never uploaded to our servers.
  • Photos are stored locally. Your photo library and event data stay on your computer or your own storage. We have no access to them.
  • Guest galleries are served from your machine. The QR code shown at an event is generated and hosted by your own installation. Guests connect to a local server running on your computer or network — not to our infrastructure.
  • We cannot delete or access your photos. Because your photos never reach us, requests to delete them must be handled by you on your own system.

Face recognition disclosure: ShaadiShots performs biometric face analysis to group photos by person. This processing happens on your own computer and the results are stored locally. As the user, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate consent or legal basis to process the faces of guests captured at your events (for example, informing guests that their photos will be grouped using face recognition).

7. Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions: Retained in email until no longer needed for communication
  • Analytics data: Retained for 26 months (Google Analytics default)
  • Session recordings: Retained for 30 days (Microsoft Clarity default)
  • Cookie consent: Retained until you clear your browser data
  • License validation records: Retained for as long as the associated license or trial is valid and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can operate the licensing service and enforce license terms
  • Payment and order records: Retained for as long as required for tax, accounting, refund, and legal purposes (typically up to 7 years after your last transaction)
  • Customer records: Retained while you hold an active license or trial and for a reasonable period afterwards

8. Data Deletion

We delete personal data we control where we are able to. To request deletion:

  • Email us at ShaadiShots@kumawat.co.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
  • Include your name and email address associated with the data
  • We will process your request within 30 days
  • You will receive confirmation once your data has been deleted

Important limits: Some records stored in our database cannot be deleted because they are required to operate the licensing service, process and account for payments, and enforce license terms (for example, license validation, activation, and payment order records). If you want your data removed, we will stop further use of it where legally possible. Analytics data (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) is managed by third-party services and can only be removed by you through their respective opt-out and deletion tools. Photos and event data stored in your own ShaadiShots installation are yours and are never held by us — please remove them on your own system if needed.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

10. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, security headers, and access controls. The databases that store your data are protected with encryption and restricted access, and license keys are stored encrypted at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

11. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. International Data Transfers

Analytics data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence (e.g., United States for Google Analytics). By using our website, you consent to such transfers.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
